Student internship to program a Knime-to-Python converter

CLIMACT, a leading Energy & Climate Change consulting company based in Louvain-la-Neuve – Belgium, is looking for a student intern (M/F) between now and September:
Context Climact is leading several online tools assessing trade-offs and pathways towards a sustainable and low-carbon future. For the European Commission, Climact is the architect of the upcoming (EUCalc), building on the philosophy of the Global Calc. To make the tool more accessible to climate experts which are not programmers, our climate model is designed in Python through a visual interface in KNIME (similar to Alteryx). We have already developed the architecture of a converter, which compiles Python code from the KNIME interface.
Student intership We are looking for 1-2 student interns to improve this KNIME-to-Python converter before September. The workload is estimated at 20 man.days between now and September. At least some of the work is to be performed with the team and from the Climact offices.
Profile Potential applicants should present the following experience and skills: • • • • •
Good Python knowledge Experience in visual programming is a plus Strong analytical and problem-solving skills Strong sense of creativity and autonomy Good communication skills (EN or FR)
