REGISTRATION DATES
Get a jump start on registration with WebTrac, the Tampa Parks and Recreation online registration program. WebTrac gives you access to view all of the current classes and programs being offered and the opportunity of enrolling online. Prior to use, you will need to make sure you have an account set up with us and have a User Name and Password. If you have never participated in any of our activities, you can create your own account online. Both a Rec Card that is valid through the duration of the program and proof of age (such as a birth certificate) are required to participate in all City of Tampa Parks and Recreation programs, camps, or activities. This annual Rec Card also allows access to age-appropriate Open Swims, Open Gyms, Fitness Rooms, Game Rooms, and/or Computer Lab use. Rec Cards may be purchased and/or renewed online for participants with an active account and a valid email on file in our system. Proof of residency for city residents must be presented at any Rec Center to complete the process.
SUMMER CAMP SCHOLARSHIPS Tampa Parks & Recreation offers financial assistance to participants 17 and younger who are city residents and qualify financially. Scholarship applications will be available beginning February 1, 2018 at our recreation facilities and online at: tampagov.net/SummerCamp. Completed applications and supporting documents may be submitted in person at any city recreation facility or mailed to: Tampa Parks & Recreation, Financial Assistance Program, 3402 W Columbus Dr, Tampa, FL 33607 Scholarships will be awarded once required camp fees are paid in full. Scholarships will be awarded on a first come, first serve basis — no guarantees are made or implied as to the number of scholarships, amounts available, or space availability.
PAYMENTS Payments for summer camp programs may be made in cash, check, money order, or credit card. All checks or money orders should be made payable to the City of Tampa unless otherwise noted. We accept Visa, Master Card, American Express, and Discover. Please note: only credit card payments are accepted online. • R.E.C. Day Camps require full payment at registration (less approved scholarships). • Specialty Camps require full payment at the time of registration (less approved scholarships). • Joe Abrahams Sports Camps require $25 deposit at the time of registration and full payment prior to the start of the camp. A one-time $5 fee will be assessed for all late payments (less approved scholarships)
A fee of $25 will be assessed on each returned check if the face value does not exceed $50, a $30 fee if the face value exceeds $50 up to $300, a $40 fee if the face value exceeds $300 up to $800 and a fee of 5% of the face value of the check for any amount over $800. These fees will be assessed regardless of the reason for the return and the household activities and passes will be suspended until reimbursement is received. Reimbursements for returned checks and fees must be made with cash, money order, or credit card. Return of a second check will result in a “cash only” status on all future payments. Unpaid returned checks will be turned over to the State Attorney’s Office.
REFUND POLICY A refund request must be received at least 14 days or more before the first day of camp in order to receive a full refund less a $15 administration fee. Field trips are non-refundable unless cancelled by the department. Refunds will only be issued to the person whose name appears as the payee on the original receipt. Refunds will not be issued in the case of disciplinary action, including suspension or trespass warning. Specialty Camps: Any patron who requests a refund before the second day of the session may receive a credit to use for a future program. R.E.C. Day Camps: Due to limited space in these camps, refunds will not be issued after the first week of camp.

RECREATION CARDS
WAIVER REQUIRED Participation in Tampa Parks & Recreation programs and activities requires a signed waiver. By signing the waiver to participate in our programs, each patron recognizes the inherent risks involved in the program and appreciates the nature of these risks. The patron holds the City of Tampa harmless for any damage caused by participation in these programs. Patrons will not be able to participate in programs if the waiver is not signed.

For the safety of your family, the city has a strict Sign In/Sign Out policy for all children under 18 years of age enrolled in our programs. A parent/guardian or other authorized individual listed on the registration form must sign each child in and out each day upon arrival and pick up. Photo identification is required every time the child is signed out.
FIELD TRIPS & OFF-SITE ACTIVITIES Additional fees may apply for field trips and off-site activities, including a transportation fee. Some locations have mandatory field trips during their program. Mandatory field trips will be included in the program fee. All children going on field trips/off site activities must be registered participants and must wear their camp T-shirt for the duration of the trip. A Field Trip/Activity Authorization, Release and Waiver of Liability and Indemnity Agreement Form must be filled out and signed by the parent/guardian for each field trip for each participant.

Participants and patrons are expected to exhibit appropriate behavior at all times. The Code of Conduct consists of disciplinary guidelines set up to help the staff insure a safe and productive environment for all of our participants. All participants are responsible for understanding and adhering to these guidelines and are expected to follow the rules. Parents/Guardians are responsible for helping their child(ren) understand and abide by these guidelines and for recognizing that unacceptable behavior shall be subject to disciplinary action.

Teens Leading Change runs at select sites, in conjunction with the REC summer camp at a cost of $80. Camp is held May 29 through August 9, Monday – Friday from 7am (or 7:30am) to 6pm and targets teens 13–17 years old. Experience the daily duties and responsibilities of a certified lifeguard and develop your skills so you are ready when it is your time to become a guard. Description Swim or sail the seven seas and transform from a landlubber to a mermaid or a swashbuckler or both! Navigate the pool waters with mermaid tails & fins, playing underwater games, learning pirate lingo, and more. Campers will be divided by age and ability. Campers are responsible for bringing their own labeled glove to camp. Athletes will be introduced to proper technique and drills focusing on catching, throwing, hitting, running, and working as a team. The new skills will be demonstrated during team scrimmages. No camp on July 4. Campers of all basketball levels from beginner to advanced will benefit from this camp. Athletes will focus on key skills such as dribbling, passing, and shooting, with a focus on teamwork. Teamwork skills will be proven during team practices and scrimmages. This camp is designed for all levels of cheerleaders. Campers are divided into age and ability levels. Campers will learn proper technique and safety for tumbling and stunting. Campers will also learn cheers and choreographed cheer routines based on ability. No camp on July 4.

This camp is great for beginner and competitive gymnasts! Campers are divided by age and ability level to provide the best camp experience for each individual. Campers are exposed to practice on the vault, bars, beam, and floor, along with dance and conditioning. Our safety certified staff will help campers learn new skills, perfect techniques, and create wonderful memories. The week of these camps, campers will need to bring a sack lunch and drink. Snacks will be provided at the Center. Early|After Care: $25 weekly or $5 daily.
PAL Gym&Dance Campers: Early|After Care All campers enrolled in Early Care and After Care will start their camp day at PAL and be driven to Wayne Papy at 8:45am daily and return to PAL at 3pm for After Care. If you are arriving for only camp 9am-3pm, please drop off at WP and pickup at WP.

Our staff is made up of former collegiate and current high school players, and travel ball and high school coaches. Our coaches will teach the athletes all positions at which they are interested. Camps will also provide instruction on hitting, baserunning, nutrition, and conditioning. Girls are allowed to bring their own equipment. We will end each camp day by engaging in fun drills and games. Please bring a refillable water bottle and a snack or lunch.
