interviewing awkward celebrites... What made you say yes to becoming the face of Radox?

Do you have any relaxation tips for mums-to-be?

It really appealed to me. I’m really busy now with the kids and work – and I moved house over Christmas, so it’s been hectic. I think it’s a great idea to encourage women (not just mums) to take some time out to relax, whether it be taking a bath or even just having a cuppa!

Well, for first time mothers I would say lie still and cherish the peace and quiet before it all gets noisy! I like swimming, and sleeping is a great way to recuperate.

What would be your ideal ‘selfish hour’?

ack in the late Nineties, Sara Cox was an archetypal ‘geezerbird’. She earned herself a reputation – and an army of fans – as the hard drinking, brazen Bolton lass on our screens and radios. But 10 years and two (soon to be three) kids later, ‘Coxy’s’ partying days are far behind her. In fact, the busy working mum has been chosen to front a new campaign for Radox, encouraging people to take some ‘me time’ and treat themselves to a ‘selfish hour’.

I would leave the kids behind and head off to the stables in St Albans with a friend and spend an hour riding one of her horses. Then when I get home, I would soak my aching bones in a nice, big Radox bath. Before you had children, what would have been your idea of a ‘selfish hour’?

Before I had children every hour of my day was selfish, I don’t know what I filled my time with! I’d like going down to the pub with my mates and quaffing on wine.

What are your staple beauty products?

I love Kérastase’s shampoos and conditioners as they sort my hair out and leave it nice and shiny. Nivea Visage Anti-wrinkle Q10 Plus Day Cream and Night Cream are my saviors. I also love Bio-Oil as it leaves my skin really soft and I love rubbing it on my bump! With your super-busy lifestyle juggling family and work, do you have any tips for quick beauty?

When I’m doing my radio show I don’t really need to do much. All I use is some tinted moisturiser so that I look a bit more refreshed, some eyelash curlers (they have to be the best invention ever) and I always carry a Vaseline Lip Therapy tin around with me as I tend to get dry lips.
