TAX AUDITORS FOR POST CLEARANCE AUDIT (CUSTOMS SERVICES DEPARTMENT) KEY RESPONSIBILITIES Suitable candidate will be responsible for:¾ Carrying out Post Importation Audit activities in accordance with the Departmental work plans and procedures. ¾ Generating assessments to taxpayers and follow-up on amounts due to Kenya Revenue Authority. ¾ Analysing cases based on available documents to establish the levels of compliance/audit risk and identify potential revenue loss areas. ¾ Implementing audit strategies. ¾ Preparing audit reports. SPECIFICATIONS Suitable candidates should have:¾ A Bachelor’s degree from a recognized university. ¾ CPA (K) or CPS (K) or equivalent. Good knowledge of Cost Accounting will be an added advantage ¾ At least three years’ audit or accounting experience in a commercial enterprise. ¾ Familiarity with Kenyan Tax Laws with a bias toward international trade law. ¾ A good knowledge of bilateral and multilateral agreements such as East Africa Community (EAC), World Trade Organization (WTO), Comesa, etc. ¾ An analytical mind. ¾ Must be computer literate Interested candidates should forward their applications to the address below attaching a full CV with current salary details and daytime contacts so as to be received not later than 14th July, 2006.
