Conditions: The operator of the vehicle may complain of one or more of the following conditions: - The engine cranks slow and hard after refuelling. - The engine runs rough. - There is a clicking noise from under the hood. The Technician may observe one or more of the diagnostic trouble codes stored in the system memory: P017X, P044X, P045X, P0316, P144A, and/or P1450.    

Cause:

A potential cause for the above conditions is the evaporative emission canister purge valve.

 

Correction: Follow the manufacturers recommended diagnostic and repair procedures, which include replacing the faulty valve.
