SmallGEO Telecommunications Satellites Key Advantages and Main Characteristics System OHB System AG’s SmallGEO Product Line are 3-axis-stabilized geostationary satellites with very high pointing accuracy, adaptable for telecommunications and Earth observation missions. The design-life-time is 15 years. High fuel-efficiency configurations, owing to hybrid (FAST) and full electric propulsion (FLEX) allow for potential mission life time extension.

Payload SmallGEO offers full compatibility with the entire spectrum of frequencies used for telecommunications in the P, L, S, C, X, Ku, Ka Bands. Additionally, optical laser communications terminals are covered. Launcher Compatibility OHB System AG’s telecommunications satellites are designed to allow the selection of launch providers including the most recent and very cost-effective developments on the global market. Among these are: Ariane 5, Falcon 9, Proton, Atlas V.
