November 21, 2014 Judicial Nominees Announced The names of three local attorneys have been forwarded to Governor Brownback for consideration for the current judicial opening in Johnson County. The opening is due to the upcoming retirement of Judge James Franklin Davis. The nominees are: Rhonda Kai Mason of Olathe. Ms. Mason has a private law practice in Overland Park. Michael Frank McCulloch of Olathe. Mr. McCulloch is the chief public defender at the 10th Judicial District Public Defenders Office in Olathe.

Robert James Wonnell of Olathe. Mr. Wonnell practices at the law firm of McAnany, Van Cleave and Phillips in Kansas City, Kansas.

Interviews were held with eight applicants on November 21, 2014 at the Johnson County Administration Building. Interviews were open to the public. The Governor will have 30 days to select from the three names submitted.
