OLYMPIC MEDALLIST AT GREENFIELDS We had a very special visitor at the Greenfields University Graduation on Tuesday. Amy Tinkler, bronze medallist in gymnastics at the Rio 2016 Olympics, came to talk to the children and show us some of her famous gymnastic moves. Amy was the youngest member of Team GB for the 2016 Olympics, at only 16 years old. She produced a fabulous floor routine to win her bronze medal and become the first British gymnast to win an individual medal in her event.
Amy has been visiting schools, because she wants to inspire children to work hard and persevere to always be the best that they can be. She came to Greenfields because she had heard all about our shared school values and the things that we do linked to sporting themes, such as ‘Personal Bests’, ‘Going for Gold’ marking, Learning Habits and our Attendance medal table.
