Abstract: T estosteronelevelhasaninfluenceoncognitivefunctions,especiallyspatialabilities.Therelationshipis,however,bidirectionaland brainactivityalsoaffectstestosteronelevels.Theaimofthisstudywastoanalyzetheeffectsofanintensive3Dmentalrotationtaskon testosteronelevelsinyounghealthymenandwomen.Inthementalrotationtask,menreachedahighertopscore(P=0.027)andtotalscore (P=0.004)comparedtowomen.In8outof9women(P=0.008)butnotinmen(P=0.129)testosteronelevelsdecreasedafteronehour ofmentalrotationtesting.Asignificantgenderdifferencewasshown(P
