Gombar 3 SUMMARY To compare the effect of rocuronium on intraocular pressure (IOP) with that of succinylcholine, a randomized double-blind controlled trial was done where 40 adult ASA-I and II patients undergoing elective non-ophthalmic surgery received either rocuronium or succinylcholine (n=20 each) following premedication with tab diazepam and induction with propofol. The two groups were comparable with respect to demographic and clinical variables including baseline IOP (12 mmHg for both groups). Upon induction, the fall in IOP in both the groups was significant (p
