A mental illness or disorder is a diagnosable illness which significantly interferes with an individual’s thoughts, emotions, behaviour, and/or social relationships. There are many different types of mental illness including depression, anxiety, schizophrenia, and personality disorders. Here we are interested in your views and beliefs about people with mental illness in general. Please read each question carefully and answer as honestly as you can, using the following scale: -4: Very strongly disagree -3: Strongly disagree -2: Disagree -1: Slightly disagree 0: Unsure/neutral 1: Slightly agree 2: Agree 3: Strongly agree 4: Very strongly agree
