International Psychology Fact (I) Did you know?……… In some countries, such as Norway and
Japan, there is no distinction made between the terms: “Psychologist” and “Clinical Psychologist”.
International Psychology Fact (II) Did you know?……… Japan has no word for ‘Menopause’,
because there is little physiological experience of it, therefore no social acknowledgement of it, and most of all… No psychological impact for Japanese Women!

and in relation to others!
Your Degree • You are studying a truely international subject • You are attending an International University. • The likelihood is that you are already working or will
work with international colleagues. • Our profession is global, and you may have to collaborate or even work abroad!
My Degree • I studied at the Università degli Studi di Padova. • The teaching and assessment was completely
different in Italy. • It was a lot more neuroscience based, but also had a
more interdisciplinary feel to the curriculum. • I have many contacts in Italy and across the globe from this experience. • I have been asked to go back and lecture!
What Next For Me? • I have my first article for an international journal being published soon. • I shall continue to go to international conferences, my last was in Finland. • I have colleagues to collaborate with in the UK, Italy, Poland, Austria, The U.S.A. among other countries. • I aim to start my PhD as a multidisciplinary and transnational project. • So far we are looking at populations in the UK, Italy, Poland, Portugal, Japan, Palestine and Afghanistan.
