TOWER IN THREE-POINT PERSPECTIVE 1- Using a No. 2 pencil, begin making initial sketches of your tower lightly on a 12 x 18 sheet of white drawing paper as described below. 2- Holding the paper vertically, place a light horizon line approximately four inches from the bottom of your paper. 3- Place two vanishing points near the edge of the paper. These points will be the edges of your horizon line. 4- Place a third vanishing point in the center of the top of your paper. Every line drawn will go to one of these three points. Complete your tower by connecting points in the foreground of your image with each of the three vanishing points, your three-dimensional tower will begin to take form. Be creative in your use of shapes. 5- When your tower is complete, choose one or two colors and use colored pencils to create even greater depth in your drawing. Try making your colors fade as they mover closer to the vanishing points.
