NEBOSH Diplomas are globally recognised qualifications aimed at professional health and safety advisors and environmental practitioners.
NEBOSH International Diploma Is this qualification recognised?
There is no prerequisite for this training however it is highly recommended to have a broad knowledge in the workplace health and safety. An International or a National General Certificate is suggested.
On successful completion of the qualification, the Diploma holder may apply for Graduate membership (Grad IOSH) of the Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH), (www.iosh.co.uk). This qualification is also accepted by the International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (www.iirsm.org) as meeting their requirements for full membership (MIIRSM). United Kingdom professional health and safety bodies have a growing international reputation with a number of international branches being formed.
Who should attend this course? The NEBOSH International Diploma is designed to provide students with the expertise – wherever in the world they may be working – required to undertake a career as a safety and health practitioner. It also provides a sound basis for progression to an MSc or more specialist study (such as the NEBOSH Specialist Diploma in Environmental Management).
Holders of this qualification may use the designatory letters IDipNEBOSH after their name.
Assessment This qualification is assessed through the three 3 hour exams for Units A, B & C and a workplace-based assessment for Unit D which are set by NEBOSH.

Accredited Programmes NEBOSH International General Certificate The NEBOSH International General Certificate in Occupational Safety and Health is a globally recognised health and safety qualification.
Who should attend this course? Managers, supervisors and employees based outside the UK who require a broad knowledge and understanding of health and safety principles and practices. The qualification focuses on international standards and management systems, enabling candidates to effectively discharge workplace health and safety responsibilities in any employment sector, in all parts of the world. The NEBOSH International General Certificate is also suitable for those embarking on a career in health and safety, providing a sound basis for progression on to the NEBOSH International Diploma.
Assessment There are two written examinations Paper 1 Management of Health & Safety; Paper 2 Controlling Workplace Hazards plus a workplace-based practical assignment.

Accredited Programmes NEBOSH International Certificate in Fire Safety and Risk Management The content is designed to equip those studying it to undertake fire risk assessments in most, low risk workplaces. The syllabus is mapped to International standards and good practice from organizations such as the International Labour Organization (ILO), National Fire Protection Association (NFPA), International Code Council (ICC) and the Confederation of Fire Protection Association Europe (CFPA-Europe). Upon successful completion of the certificate, delegates can apply for a membership with Institution of Occupational Safety and Health (IOSH) and/or International Institute of Risk and Safety Management (IIRSM) as its qualification meets the academic requirements for Technician Membership (Tech IOSH) of IOSH and Associate membership (AIIRSM) of the IIRSM.
Who should register for this course? People throughout the world with fire safety responsibilities at work, particularly those tasked with carrying out fire risk assessments and preventing loss of life and property.
Examinations and Certification Units IGC1 and IFC1 are taught units each assessed by one two-hour written examination. Unit FC2 is assessed by one four-hour fire risk assessment carried out in the candidate’s workplace.
Information about Exemptions Students who have already passed IGC1 or FC2 as part of a previous NEBOSH qualification do not need to re-take them, provided it was achieved within the last 5 years. If you achieved IGC1 more than 5 years ago or hold the NEBOSH International Diploma, you may re-sit the examination without needing to attend a taught course.

Accredited Programmes NEBOSH International Technical Certificate in Oil and Gas Operational Safety About the course This qualification is specifically designed for people with safety responsibility in the oil and gas industry. The qualification focuses on international standards and management systems, enabling students to effectively discharge workplace safety responsibilities both onshore and offshore. The Certificate also highlights the importance of process safety management in the oil and gas industry. GENERAL TRAIN THE TRAINER General Train the Trainer The Train the Trainer programme is designed to a very practical level, aim at developing awareness and understanding of and reflection on issues relating to techniques & styles in training/ presentation at different levels of interaction. The delivery technique can range from training to informal “talks” at staff meetings, to presenting lengthy, complex, critical information to an audience in an auditorium. Emergency Preparedness
Fire fighting
In all cases where there is potential serious harm to people at work and affected by work, emergency preparedness by way of proper planning and testing will reduce the consequences of on-site emergencies and help to mitigate the effects. On this two day training, workers will learn how to be prepared and correctly respond during an emergency.
This one day program is a combination of theory and practical training on fire prevention and fire fighting techniques. The course will take the participants through a range of fire related topics; principles of fire triangle, location of fire fighting equipment and escape routes, fire chemistry and ignition sources, fire hazards, flammable materials and fire spread, need for vigilance and readiness for emergency response, fire/smoke detection and alarm systems, portable fire fighting equipment, PPE & RPE. The afternoon practical session includes using hand-held firefighting equipment on real fires. Every participant takes part in using the extinguishers.
Confined Space Entry And Rescue This two day course is physical and will be probably more physical than the delegate encounters in their normal daily workplace. Participants will be taught on the use of the tripod/quadpod plus either winch or retractable retrievable fall arrest block as a means of access to confined spaces, plus rescue and emergency evacuation from either a horizontal or vertical confined space. This program is only recommended for participants who are physically fit and healthy.Risk Assessment

Fire prevention and fire rescues both form part of this very popular two day course. Participants will learn the correct techniques of using hand operated firefighting equipment. The course is held at DUBAL fire training ground which caters for practical firefighting demonstrations.
