Tutorial: Cute Ring Created by Ellad2 www.ellad2.com www.ellad2.etsy.com This Tutorial will show you step by step how to make this cute ring. Material you need: - Seed beads size 11 or Miyuki Delica beads size 11 for the ring band (appx 1 gr). I used Miyuki 2405 FR Matte transparent teal. - Miyuki seed beads – galvanized gold (6 beads) in case that you want to make a ring as it is at the first photo. - Flowers 4x11mm (I used Frosted blue turquoise) – 6 pcs - Fire-polished beads 4 mm if you want to make the ring as it is at the second photo - FireLine 0.06 or Nymo thread - Needle size 12

Step 1: Ring band, flat peyote stitch with 8 beads (or more if you like) - Put the stop bead and string 7 beads more.

Working in flat peyote stitch (with 8 beads) create a ring band what fit to your finger.

Step 2:

After you have finished the piece of peyote stitch, line up the ends with each other. The ends of your beadwork should mesh together much like the teeth of a zipper (so, the up beads should be in zig zag position)

Step 3: Zip up:

-

Pass through the first up bead on the other side (that is a beginning of your beadwork)

-

Pass then through the up bead on the opposite side (last row of your beadwork)

Continue zig-zag till the end. Pull the thread tight!

You can pass through the 2 up beads at once if that is comfortable for you… When you finish, pull the thread again tight and pass zig zag through the few beads…

So, till now you have this. The base.

Step 5: Embellishment with flowers… Exit through the nearest bead as it is at the photo.

-

Pick up: flower, fire-polished bead and seed bead. In case that you want to make a flower with only one bead in the flower, then just pick up the flower and seed bead.

-

Pass back through the firepolished bead (in the second case, pass back through the flower) and then back through the flower.

Step 5 continues… -

Pass through the next ‘up bead’ in the line. Pull the thread!!!

You should get this.

Repeat from the beginning 2 more times (pick up the flower, firepolished bead and seed bead. Pass back through the fire-polished bead and through the flower. Pass through the next ‘up bead’. Pull the thread tight. At the photo my thread is loose, because you can see better what I am doing.

And the last one… My thread is loose…because of you  Your should be very tight.

Till now you should have this. If you want, you can leave it like this. In that case, your ring is finished!

Step 6: Second row with flowers… -

Pass through the bead on the edge.

- Pass down through the next bead on the edge.

Step 6 continues…

-

Then pass up through the next bead on the edge.

-

And finally, pass down through the next bead on the edge and you are ready for the second row with the flowers…

You remember? Pick up: flower, firepolished bead, seed bead. Pass back through the fire-polished bead and flower and then pass through the next ‘up bead’ in the line.

When you finish, play with a flowers and put them in the position you prefer. In this case, I put together four flowers and 2 flowers are on the sides.
