New Structure The Past Simple Tense Usage: We use " The Past Simple Tense" when we talk about something happened in the past . Form: In the Past Simple Tense, verbs are regular or irregular. Regular verbs follow certain rules. Irregular verbs do not follow simple patterns or rules. To form the past tense of most regular verbs, just add –ed or –d. E.g.: walk – walked

live – lived
smile – smiled
To form the past tense of irregular verbs, do not add –ed or –d. the past tense have to be memorized. E.g.:
