SHAWN M. CONNOLLY Facilities Maintenance and Engineering B.S. Thomas Edison State College M.S. New Jersey Institute of Technology MR. CONNOLLY brings United States Navy engineering training and more than 21 years of facilities engineering experience to his position as Associate Vice President for Facilities Maintenance and Engineering. Appointed in July 2012, Mr. Connolly came to MSU from the Princeton University Plasma Physics Laboratory, where he was employed as Head of the Facilities Division. Under his leadership, the Princeton PPL Facilities division was recognized as being “best in class” among the US Department of Energy’s National Laboratories. Mr. Connolly, who holds degrees in Nuclear Engineering Technology and Management, has broad experience planning and leading long-range programs for the effective safe operations of building mechanical and electrical systems. PERRY H. EGGLESTON Facilities Services B.A. California State University, Bakersfield M.P.A. California State University, Bakersfield MR. EGGLESTON joined the Division of University Facilities in January 2012 as the Director of Parking Services. He brings over 12 years of parking and public safety expertise in the higher education and private sectors to MSU, including special events operations and parking management. Currently working towards a Doctor of Public Administration degree, Mr. Eggleston has focused his studies on the development of parking policy in a Municipal/University environment. Mr. Eggleston most recently served as General Manager of LexPARK, where he managed parking operations and enforcement for the Lexington/Fayette County (KY) Parking Authority. WILLIAM F. FITZPATRICK Facilities Services B.S. Temple University MR. FITZPATRICK began his tenure as Director of Transportation Services in January 2012. He comes to MSU from the University of Delaware, from which he retired after 20 years of service. Among his many skills, Mr. Fitzpatrick brings to MSU expertise in operational management and process improvement and implementation. In his previous position he was responsible for strategic planning, direction and execution of the daily operations for nine university departments, including Shuttle Buses, the Motor Vehicle pool/Vehicle Maintenance, Mail, Central Stores and Receiving.
DANIEL GILMARTIN Facilities Management Information Systems B.S. Montclair State University MR. GILMARTIN assumed his responsibilities as a Management Information Systems Technician in the Department of Facilities Management Information Systems in December 2011. Prior to joining MSU full time, Mr. Gilmartin worked within University Facilities for three years as a Student Assistant responsible for providing support and troubleshooting existing facilities systems as well as assisting with the evaluation and deployment of technical projects and new applications for divisional and campus use. As an M.I.S. Technician, Mr. Gilmartin is responsible for information technology technical support.
