(Circle) for the National Institutes of Health (NIH) Office of the Director (OD) Office of Communications and Public Liaison (OCPL), Communications Support and Outreach Task Order, NIHPICS TORP#1011—if Circle is awarded the contract for the period of performance beginning in September 2014. My experience in a wide variety of media and crisis client engagements positions me well for this assignment. For example, I handled the largest consumer product recall in history; helping the companies involved survive the ordeal with virtually no negative media coverage. I have prepared crisis communications plans for oil and chemical companies and major trade associations, including managing a major communication effort for a coalition of trade associations and individual companies on one of the most controversial issues of the last decade. I Her Majesty Queen Noor’s press representative after 9/11 handling dozens of international broadcast and print interviews. I have also trained hundreds of professional staff at NIH in several Institutes, including Institute Directors. I have served as a Technical Consultant to the House Science, Space and Technology Committee and as a science advisor to the Secretary of Health and Human Services. My role as a White House correspondent and Washington, DC Bureau Chief, helps me serve clients as they prepare for media interviews, press conferences, and other public speaking venues. I will provide media and crisis communication training as needed to support the above-referenced task order at a rate of $3,500 per half day or $5,500 per day. Accordingly, I will give the highest priority to any work that results from this proposal, and will dedicate the necessary time and resources to ensure that superior products and services are provided to Circle and the OD OCPL.
