Other Itinerary Suggestions From: Kerry Kelly Sent: Friday, August 26, 2016 9:03 AM To: Ed Sederlund Subject: Re: Sleeping Bear Midland Camera Club Photo Outing Hi Ed, Good to hear from you again! I think the choices you've made are good ones. These are all park-owned properties and you can go on the property, wander around, up close, etc. A lot of people photograph these farms, but don't know that they can walk around the property, so they only get photos from a distance. Feel free to explore. The same is true of the other suggestions below. Since you will be in the Port Oneida area, I would also recommend the Ole Olson farm, Schmidt farm, and Martin Basch farm They are near the Basch Road / Kelderhouse Road intersection. The farms are old and buildings unimproved. I also think that some of your group would like to photograph some of the oldest log structures in the Park - light North Unity School, Kraitz cabin, Shalda cabin. These are all either in or very close to Port Oneida. Directions to these are in my Port Oneida booklet or in the Farms and Cabins booklet. http://friendsofsleepingbear.org/projects/booklets/ Kerry Kelly Chairman of the Board Friends of Sleeping Bear Dunes
