Wordpress.org content management system • Domain name + hosting + User-friendly Webinar Ignition plugin (webinar management system) • Create pages for registration, confirmation, webinar,

2. MANAGEMENT OF LIST OF REGISTRANTS • Uses the autoresponder called “Emelmatik” (Link: www.emelmatik.com) • The purpose of an autoresponder is two-folds: 1. Issuance of automatic email right after the registrant clicks on the ‘Submit’ button 2. Listing of the email in the database of registrants to facilitate reminder emails regarding the webinars

• The system allows for management of large list of registrants + keeping in contact with them regarding the webinars

3. LIVE STREAMING OF THE WEBINAR

1. Reminder email was sent to the registrants • Using the Emelmatik autoresponder

2. A session on Google Hangout on Air was started (now it is rebranded as YouTube Live) • Sharing of computer screen + webcam • Recording is automatic and added as YouTube event 3. The streaming embed code was copied to the webinar page 4. Registrants then participated in the webinar LIVE • Using their laptop, desktop, smartphone, iPad, tabs, other devices with Internet connection

CONCLUSION

DSG Webinars is fairly new (3yo)

Great add-on to the learning methods for postgraduate students

This paper shares the different technologies for carrying out DSG Webinars

Could become a tool for lifelong learning

Reference for similar initiatives + future research on the area of lifelong learning
