Using the Device Manager to manually update device drivers If your device appears to be recognised by your computer (ie. a sound is heard that acknowledges USB insertion) but it is not functional, it is possible that the device drivers have not installed correctly. Examples: i. A data device that, remains ‘Initialising’, suggests the drivers may not be installed correctly. ii. Join Me displays the following error message, 'Cannot connect to phone. 1 Make sure USB lead is properly connected. 2. Switch off and on again. 3 Re‐install the drivers in Device Manager (see www.zte.com.au for help)' Notes:
A driver update or driver tool may be available for your ZTE device. Visit the downloads page of the ZTE website at www.zte.com.au & click on this image of your device.
Current Join Me versions (B22 or later) are Windows 7 compatible, visit the download section of the ZTE website to see if your handset model supports Join Me B22 (or later).
Leave the device plugged in and follow the steps to manually update the drivers: The screen shots in this section are from Windows 7 (steps are similar for earlier supported operating systems) 1. Go to Start > Control Panel

11. Repeat steps 5 – 10 for the remaining drivers. The path will already be selected so click next when prompted at step 7. When finished all three drivers are installed as shown:
