USING THE GNU RA ADIO SOFTWARE IN THE OF FDM MULTICARRIER CO OMMUNICATIONS Florenţiu DELIU1, Nicolae BADARA1, Ovidiu CRISTEA1 Naval Academy “M Mircea cel B trân”, Constan Email: [email protected] Abstract: Data trannsmission in HF and UHF radio channels require modern m types of modulations. OFDM aand Multicarrier are modulation types that have been imp posed on 4G and Wi-Fi data transmission channels in 900Mhz, 1800Mhz and 2400Mhz beams. In this paper we are studying the use oof these modulation types to increase the data transmission speed in HF and UHF maritime baands.

1. Introduction. The SDR soft defiined radio allows the use of universal hard drives fo or the reception and broadcasting modules for radioo frequency signals. The Universal Peripheral Radio o Software uses the SDR to construct the interface bbetween the PC and the radio domain, that is, the haard interface of the interface. Future emitters and recceivers will be USPR.

being prohibitive. But they are very productive USRP manufacturers like Ettus, National Instruments whose products supports both environments. To achieve the OFDM modulation transceiver we use NI USPR 2901 with parametric techniques: Transmitter: Frequency range 70 MHz to 6 GHz Frequency step
