Background.

A study was conducted

to validate a comprehensive

self-rating

scale'for

measuring

side-effects of neurolepticdrugs. Method. The LiverpoolUniversityNeurolepticSide Effect Rating Scale (LUNSERS),which includes‘¿red herring'items,was twice administeredto 50 DSM—lll—R schizophrenicpatients, who were alsointerviewedusingthe UKU side-effectratingscale; 50 unmedicatedcontrols
