As Per District Handbook

Bachelor’s Degree from an accredited institution Wisconsin State Certification Ability to speak and write Ojibwe Language and have knowledge about the LCO Ojibwe culture.

PERFORMANCE RESPONSIBILITIES: 1. 2. 3. 4.

Teach an Ojibwe Language/Culture Program which will best benefit Native American students. Include elements that reflect local traditions and customs in the program. Assist in planning, organizing and implementing Native American activities. Work with Native American students and school personnel in promoting better communication and understanding amongst school personnel, Native American students and parents. Provide student progress reports/grades. Acquire parental approval for students participating in the program. Order necessary materials and/or equipment that will directly support the program. Conform to the ethics of the classified employee and/or National Education Association. Adhere to and follow the established practices of the district. Develop yearly goals with the building administrator as related to the professional development plan. Attend and provide necessary reports to the Title VII Parent Advisory Committee at their meetings as requested by administration. Attend parent teacher conferences, in services and workshops. Perform such other tasks and responsibilities as may be assigned by the building administrator.
