Webcast Metrics Introduction Webcast Metrics is the only Media Rating Council (MRC) accredited source for internet radio listening data. Data is collected via player-embedded listener tracking codes and streaming server log files. Audience reports are delivered to the publishers, and any third parties authorized by the publisher, via a web-based console. Webcast Metrics Local is a premium market-specific version of our standard Webcast Metrics product. Geography Webcast Metrics reports streaming activity in three geographies: Global, Total U.S., and DMA. Webcast Metrics Local is a premium service that also reports activity at an MSA level. (See the feature comparison chart for details.)

Available Metrics (All Publishers) Sessions Started (SS)

The number of different requests for streams (i.e. stream requests) with a duration of at least one minute in total and any duration within the reported time period

Active Sessions (AS)

Number of sessions that were active, with a duration of at least one minute in total and any duration within the reported time period

Total Listening Hours (TLH)

Total number of hours that the station/publisher has streamed during sessions with a duration of at least one minute in total and any duration within the reported time period

Average Active Sessions (AAS)

Average Active Sessions represents the total listening hours divided by the number of hours in the reported time period.

Average Quarter Hour (AQH)

The average number of listeners within the MSA, demographic and day-part, to a particular station/channel/service comprised of sessions with a minimum of 5 aggregate minutes within each clock-hour fifteen minute period

Average Time Spent Listening (ATSL)

The average time a unique listener within the specified MSA, demographic and day-part spent listening to a particular station/channel/service. Calculated as Total Listening Hours with the specified MSA, demographic and day-part divided by the number of unique listeners within the specified MSA, demographic and day-part. [TLH / CUME] = TSL

Cume

The number of unique listeners within the specified market, demographic and day-part, to a particular station/channel/service for at least five aggregate minutes.

Available Metrics (Webcast Metrics Local Publishers Only) Average Quarter Hour Rating

AQH listeners within a specified MSA, demographic and daypart, expressed as a percentage of the specified MSA demographic population. [AQH Listeners / MSA Population] * 100 = AQH Rating%

Time Spent Listening (TSL)

Calculated as Total Listening Hours with the specified MSA, demographic and day-part divided by the number of unique listeners within the specified MSA, demographic and day-part. [TLH / CUME] = TSL

Cume Rating

Unique Listeners within the specified MSA, demographic and day-part expressed as a percentage of the MSA demographic population. [CUME / MSA Population] * 100 = CUME Rating%
