POSITION: PROGRAMS ASSOCIATE LOCATION: NEW YORK, NY DEADLINE: FRIDAY, 16 DECEMBER 2016 (APPLICATIONS TO BE REVIEWED ON A ROLLING BASIS) ABOUT WFM-IGP The World Federalist Movement-Institute for Global Policy (WFM-IGP) works to advance the global promise of peace and is committed to building a safer and more just world. The organization includes a comprehensive set of programs—the Coalition for the International Criminal Court (CICC), the International Coalition for the Responsibility to Protect (ICRtoP), and the International Democratic Governance Program. These programs collectively work to protect civilians from the threat of genocide, war crimes, and crimes against humanity; facilitate transparency in governance; increase access to justice; and promote the application of the rule of law. WFM-IGP operates in partnership with the United Nations (UN) and often serves as a hub of information and collective action on UN-related issues. In addition, WFM-IGP works with governments and other international and regional institutions around the globe, as well as with thousands of committed individuals and world leaders, to advance a mission of peace, prosperity, and security for all. POSITION Under the overall supervision of the Deputy Executive Director, the Programs Associate provides administrative and office support for the executive office and staff, responds to information requests, maintains contact with WFM and CICC members and coordinates internships at the New York Secretariat. The Programs Associate provides a gateway into the CICC, serving as the first contact point for individuals and members seeking information on the CICC. The Programs Associate also acts as the Executive Assistant of the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director. This is a full-time, salaried position with benefits, and based in the New York, NY. The expected start date is 9 January 2016. Applicants must already have proper authorization to work in the US. RESPONSIBILITIES The responsibilities of the Programs Associate will include but are not limited to: EXECUTIVE ASSISTANT:  Administrative support to the Executive Director and Deputy Executive Director, including scheduling, filling, travels preparations and other tasks as necessary;

STAFF AND MEMBERSHIP SUPPORT:  Taking minutes of WFM and CICC staff meetings and CICC Steering Committee meetings;  Event planning and preparing for WFM and CICC meetings and conferences, including setting up conference calls, providing support in drafting and distributing agenda, and assembling materials;  Moderating the main CICC listserv and WFM/CICC members email lists, and assisting with the dissemination of information over these lists;  Facilitating correspondence with colleagues in regional and national networks around the world, including assisting with letter-writing when necessary;  Ensuring organization and inventory of promotional materials and publications; distributing outreach materials and publications to the United Nations and to conferences worldwide; and preparing info-kits when necessary;  Maintaining CICC contact (membership and government) databases;  Responding to information requests, including requests received through general CICC email address;  Processing requests to join the Coalition;  Providing Coalition members with updates on ICC-related activities and events;  Preparing for and providing support during the ICC Assembly of States Parties; OFFICE COORDINATION:  Overall coordination of the NY internship program;  Overall coordination of UN grounds pass and events registration for CICC staff and interns;  Overseeing some financial administration, including processing purchase orders and credit card payments, and liaising with the finance office;  Provide general administrative and office support, including answering phones and assisting with post office mailings, word processing, filing and faxing;  Any other tasks as needed. QUALIFICATIONS:  At least an undergraduate degree in a relevant field (i.e. international relations, human rights, political science, etc.);  Fluency in English; proficiencies in additional languages, especially French, is a plus;  High attention to detail, and strong organizational skills;  Excellent written and oral communication, research and writing skills;  Effective team player with the ability and sensitivity of working in a multicultural environment;  Ability to multitask while meeting deadlines;  Proficiency using Microsoft Office, experience with database software a plus;  Prior experience in a non-profit environment preferred;
