Cert IV in Health Care is an entry-level paramedic career qualification. At the certificate IV level, you’ll learn basic life support skills needed to work in prehospital emergency care. This course builds strong foundation skills and knowledge allowing you to intervene to treat patients effectively. Following your arrival in an ambulance, you’ll have skills to ascertain what is wrong with the patient, establish treatment and extricate the patient to hospital. This qualification builds the necessary foundational skills required of pre-hospital care paramedics. If you want to enhance your training and skills, this certificate provides the necessary prerequisites to advance up the clinical ladder to diploma level (advanced life support).
