NOTICE OF PUBLIC HEARING The HI Paso District of the Texas Department of Transportation (TxDOT) will conduct public hearings on Wednesday, April 14, 1999, at 6:30 p.m. in the Fort Davis Community Building in Fort Davis, Texas, and on Thursday, April 15, 1999, at 6:30 p.m. in the Hudspeth?County Courthouse in Sierra Blanca, Texas. The. purpose of the hearings is to discuss the District Rural Tiansportalion Improvement Program (TIP) and the Unified Transportation Program (UTP), including project selection and-proposed projects. Area project status reports will be discussed as well. The same topics will be addressed at both hearings. The TIP and UTP are transportation planning documents that establish the programming of transportation projects. The TIP is a three:year program of capital improvements for highway and transit projects. The UTP is TxDOT’s 10-year planning document that guides and controls project development. A list of proposed projects for Brewster, Culberson, Hudspeth. Jeff Davis, and Presidio Counties will be provided and discussed at the hearings. Beginning March 26, 1999, information on the TIP, UTP, and proposed projects will be available for review and copying at the District Office at 212 N. Clark, El Paso, Texas. This information will also be available at the Alpine Area Office located on SH 118 (Fort Davis Highway) in Alpine, Texas, the East El Paso Area Office located at 1430 Joe Battle Blvd. in El Paso, Texas, and at all TxDOT Maintenance Offices in Brewster, Culberson, Hudspeth, Jeff Davis, and Presidio Counties. All interested persons are encouraged to attend one of the public hearings. You may block you r nam e and num ber on a per-call basis using percull blocking, by sim ply pressing *67 on a (ouch to n tp h o n e o r dial 1167 on a rotary phone before dialing the telephone num ber. You may autom atically block your nam e and num ber on every call by requesting per-line blocking from B ig Bend T elephone Company. You can unblock yo u r nam e and num ber, free o f charge, on a single call by dialing *82 or 1182 on your phone before dialing. Per-line blocking w ill be autom atically reactivated at the end o f the single “unblocked” call. It is not necessary to subscribe to C aller ID to have any o f these services. C uando la llam ada recobrada cs de portazgo se le avisa al cliente por m edio de una grabacion y se dara la opcion de continuar y com pletar la llam ada o de colgar y no incurrir cargos de portazgo. El recobro de liamadas no opera si el origen es de una oficina central que no esta equipada con esta funcion. A dicionalm ente esta opcion no trabaja cuando el numero del partido se som etio a Call Forw arded, o sea una llam ada con program acion de envio a otro num ero. La linea quedara bloqueada dc nuevo al term ino dc esta llam ada scleccionada. Este servicio es gratuito. Todas las solicitudes para bloquear la linea seran gratis y no es ncccsario solicitar servicio de Identidad del L lam ador para obtener este servicio. El bloqueo no trabaja en tclefdrios publicos. La fecha propuesta para estas opciones es el 1 M ayo de 1999 para todos los intercam bios de Big Bend Telephone Company. El presupuesto de ingresos dela Com pania el prim er ano cs de 75,004.
