Calling all community MEDIA MAKERS! Right now, WQED Multimedia's NextGeneration Fellows are in the middle of a year-long project that involves telling interesting and compelling stories about Pittsburgh’s historic North Side. But they want help! The Fellows are taking video submissions from community members all across the city of Pittsburgh. Do you or someone you know have an interesting story to tell? We want to hear all about it. Submission Rules
3-5 minute video submission with a short description.
Submissions can be about food, music, art, people, businesses, etc. But the video must a have North Side connection and relate to one of three topics: o Quality of Education o Quality of Employment o Quality of Place (housing, property, renting, buying, development)
We will not consider commercial or promotional pieces.
Post your videos and the short description to YouTube or Vimeo, then send that link to
[email protected]. Be sure to include your name and contact information. SUBMISSION DEADLINE IS AUGUST 1, 2015.
Video submissions will be entered into a contest. WQED Multimedia will recognize a select group at an awards event in WQED’s Fred Rogers Studio.
About WQED Multimedia’s NextGeneration Fellowship Program WQED Multimedia’s NextGeneration Fellowship training program seeks to enhance the skill set of individuals by providing actual working experience for emerging creators. Four people per year will participate in the training program in which they will learn about the editorial and production processes; create and execute an engagement plan; and solicit content produced by media makers throughout the community.
