WALKING, CYCLING or RIDING an opportunity to discover a unique land. Going back in time to a land once populated by a lost civilization. A land of primitive beauty, wild gorges and villages suspended on tufa cliffs that works in perfect harmony with the surrounding landscape. Today, a land full of charm and certainly unique.

Via Amerina and Falerii Novi Via Amerina, an ancient Roman road, once joined Via Cassia to the town of Ameria, Amelia today. The Via Amerina goes through Falerii, a colony founded after the occupation of the territory Falisco by the Romans.

The Treja Ravines The river Treja, in its descent towards the Tiber, has deeply affected the tufa plateau, creating a wild and luxuriant environment. Above the river, medieval villages, unchanged in time, dominate the valleys.

The Castles Ruins Medieval fortresses abandoned since 1300 and today in ruins, silent witnesses among the unspoilt nature, of the defensive strategies of the Roman Church State.

Mount Soratte Vanguard of the Apennines, is a solitary mountain in the endless Tiber’s plain. Sacred to the ancient people of the place, it was a strategic underground base for the German Army during the II World War. The River Tiber The Tiber runs through lands rich in history, surrounded by a surprisingly wild nature, a complete opposite to the majesty of Rome. Century after century its course has been inextricably intertwined with the lives of the people who lived by its shores.
