Programme outline Training & Orientation The program begins with a four-week intensive training course in Teaching English as a Foreign Language (TEFL) in Ho Chi Minh City delivered by English Language Company, Australia. You will learn the skills required to teach English in a Vietnamese school, as well as enjoy an orientation to living in Vietnam, Vietnamese lessons and a range of social and cultural activities and trips.

Teacher Internship After your training period, you will be placed in a Vietnamese school as an English teaching intern for 4.5 to 5 months (depending on the school semester). You’ll live, eat and breathe life as a local in Vietnam and receive the rewarding experience of educating students. You will also receive accommodation, meals, Vietnamese classes and an allowance.

Program start dates There are two program start dates each year in January and August to coincide with school semester start dates.

Applicant eligibility criteria • 19 years and above • Native or advanced-level English speaker • Completed high school with sound grades (graduates or those intending to undertake further study preferred) • Some previous travel and work experience preferred • Sense of adventure essential
