Resumé and conclusion The report is about type examination and testing of the 190EU and 190DC nonautomatic weighing indicator manufactured by Cardinal Detecto Scale Manufacturing Company. The 190EU indicator is power supplied from 100 - 240 VAC, 50/60 Hz, while 190DC is power supplied from 12 - 24 VDC. Apart from this, the indicators are identical. The examination and testing were performed according to relevant sections of EN 45501:1992 / International Recommendation OIML R 76, edition 1992 and WELMEC Guide 2.1:2001 Testing of indicators. A full test and examination has been performed on the 190EU indicator and a supplementary test of voltage variation was performed on 190DC. The test items fulfilled relevant parts of EN 45501:1992 / OIML R76:1992 for nonautomatic weighing instruments and WELMEC Guide 2.1:2001, as described in Annex 1 and 2. Calibration of the electromagnetic field. Before the test item is placed in the anechoic chamber, an isotropic E-field sensor is placed on the spot where the test item is placed later on. An automatic measurement of the generator output, necessary to establish the specified field strength reading on the E-field sensor is performed. The data of the corresponding frequency and generator output is stored for use during the exposure. These data are printed out, saved and kept. The frequency range is scanned at a maximum rate of 0.005 oct./sec. (approx. 1 octave/2 minutes) while the field strength is maintained using the generator settings achieved during the previous measurement with the E-field sensor installed instead of the test object.
