This navigation module is compatible with 2012 and after Mercedes cars. It is pin‐2‐pin compatible with the original Becker map pilot while providing the navigation function, however it offers more features.
This pin‐2‐pin compatible module with mapPilot can be inserted navigation map onto the OEM car screen. People can use the OEM knob to control, also people can add a touch screen, which is far faster and convenient in map operations. it can fit exactly into the OEM socket, get CAN data and antenna and power supply from that socket.
Extra reverse video camera input is offered, so the installer may make a reverse video overlay.
This module is compatible with 2012+ Mercedes cars, which already has a Becker map pilot socket. The DIP8 makes this module compatible with C, A,B,GLK‐classes with 5.8 inch LCD, also 7‐inch E,ML,GL HD screens.
A cross is shown in navigation mode, so people can rotate the OEM knob to operate the map. This navigation module has been testified to work with Igo, Navitel, Primo, and many other popular software.
1. Installation procedure 1 / 4
Inside the trunk, there is a socket with golden‐finger, here is where this module is inserted.
This module can be plug&Play inserted onto that socket, the other side of the module has the extension port for other cables.
The blue connector of the cable should be inserted onto the monitor’s socket, and monitor’s socket should be inserted onto this blue socket.
The yellow socket for extra reverse camera,
The blue wire for reverse camera. >5V switch.
The red socket for extra video like DVD or digital TV.
The SD card socket.

When DIP8=ON: HD LCD(7‐inch) is used such as E,ML,GLK‐class. When DIP8=OFF: Normal LCD(5.8‐inch) is used such as A,B,C, GLK‐class. This DIP8 set wrong will lead to black screen in NAVI display. [no damage to any components]. The DIP7 does not have any function.
3. Users control. (1) Long Press C: Input will be switched. So the video will show: OEM CD picture Navigation pictureDVD picture(if DIP2 enabled.) When once switched, the user should not use the knob for within 5 seconds, because the OEM CD will be switched into OEM navi display, which means there will be no background operation when the users is using the knob to control map. The user can also manually press the NAVI key on CD, so the CD will switch into navi mode, then he has the freedom to use the knob without background operation.
(2) When in navigation display, the user can use the touch foil to control the navigation or use the knob, as shown below: 2 / 4
When the knob rotated, or pressed. A Cursor will be displayed, and it will move as the user rotates.
When the user presses the knob, a touch operation will be given to the current cursor location.
When the user pressed the return key, the cursor, which has 2 wires in horizotal and vertical location, which toggle the width of these 2 lines, the thicker one shows the cursor will move horizontally or vertically.
(3) the user can also use the touch foil, connect it to the touch port, then the navigation can be controlled. It can be used together with the cursor. When touch foil firstly installed, it needs to be calibrated,the installer should power up the unit without SD card, switch into navi mode by long pressing the C key, then the cross will be seen, the installer touch the cross till it goes out.

When the user press the return key for >4 seconds, the setup up menu will be shown. The user pushes down will toggle the selection item. Left/right push will adjust the value.
The IR.AV1,IR.AV2 is used to set the output IR code for installed DVD or TV. When no such devices installed, this parameter should be left along. The last option is for guide display, please set it off when in use.
(5)Other options for the 2013‐GLK(resolution=400X240), We provides a HD replacement screen (resolution=800X480),which can replace the OEM 5.8, and it keeps all OEM information exactly the same. since it has 4X resolution, so it provides better navigation and reverse picture quality. Guideline is shown when in reverse.
It offers better navigation resolution when working with the becker unit on GLK
cars.
(6)simple troubleshooting.
The user can only see rolloing lines without navigation picture. The DIP4 is set in a wrong way, for example: the map uses 800X480,but DIP4 is set to be 400X240. The navigation picture is not centered on screen: please quit the navigation mode, in the setting option, make the green square all shown like the below picture, then long press the return key till the menu pop up, the set the Position H to tune the picture centered.
