Mr. Steven D. Bowling Environmental Specialist Burns and McDonnell P.O. Box 173 Kansas City, MO 64141 DeC!' Steve; Enclosed are 3 copies of the preliminary \-eport on the "Aquatic Biology Study on a Ra\"l l'!ater Intake Structure in the Tombigbee River". In addition to the biological data, past and present, presented in this report, \"Ie have also discussed some of the physical characteristics of the river as they relate to the raw water intake structure. In my opinion there are "pros and cons" to most any type of pumping structure for this particular site on the Tombigbee River. I think a visit to the actual site by yourself might help in finalizing the design criteria. If there are questions or if additional information is needed on any aspect of this aquatic study please contact us and \'Ie \'Ii11 try to provide what you need. Sincerely,
