Guidelines For Installing COM Ports on NoOS Systems • The purpose of this installation guide is to instruct customers purchasing a D-Series “No Operating System” unit on how to install the COM ports. • When installing the Microsoft™ Windows operating system on multiple D-Series AiO touchcomputer systems, make sure to install the drivers for each of the Dual RS-232 and USB-to-Cash Drawer ports in the SAME EXACT ORDER each time. • It is CRITICAL that the ports are installed and peripherals are plugged in the same order due to Windows assigning the next available COM port each time when the driver is installed. • If multiple systems are to be configured to function exactly the same, the same installation order should be followed to have consistent COM ports assigned.
