Creation Sensation’s Deluxe Family Supply Kit

Exploring Creation with Botany published by Apologia Ministries

Convenience is something that makes your school hours more productive. This is why Creation Sensation has developed Deluxe Family Supply Kits for Apologia’s elementary science textbooks. No longer will you have to hunt around to find just the right item. Now finding the supplies you need to successfully complete each project in the text is as easy as opening a box! The contents are organized by lesson to make it, oh, so easy to use! The Deluxe Family Supply Kit will also meet the needs of larger families who have more than one child using the same book during the school year. In addition to the Base Kit, a 2nd Student Kit can be added to enable each child in the family to enjoy the projects where extra supplies would be helpful. BONUS ITEMS!!!! As a valued customer of Creation Sensation, you will receive with the purchase of this kit a free DaddyTime devotional. DaddyTime provides practical suggestions for ways that fathers can interact with their children on a spiritual level through play. As an additional bonus, you will also receive a skeleton leaf! * NOTE: While we make every attempt to insure that all the Deluxe Family Lab Supply Kits are as complete as possible, common sense and shipping restrictions dictate that some items are excluded. The customer is asked to supply the following items – dirt (or purchase a bag of quality potting soil), an assortment of shoes, leaves, water, a large box (ask for a banana box at grocer), saucers or plastic lids to place under plants, measuring cup or bowl, oil or Vaseline or non-stick spray (small amount) , microwave or double boiler, flowers, knife, field guides of local plants (some available on our website), cooking pot, spoon, carrot, celery, pencil, tall tree, oven, fern fronds, hardcover book, metal coat hanger, tree with lichen.

Many families have several children sharing a single book and supply kit. This works great for most of the lessons, but a few of the projects would be much more fun if there were some extra supplies for the extra siblings. The 2nd Student Kit is designed for just that purpose. You will want to add one of these kits for each ADDITIONAL student using the text. For example, if you have three children using the same book, add two 2nd Student Kits to the base kit. NOTE: This kit is designed to be used in a family setting with a small number of children sharing all the resources. For bigger groups, like a co-op group, ask for information on our Co-op Supply Kits. Details of 2nd Student Kit – Retail Price $12.99 Used in Lesson 1 1 1 2 2

Additional Notes about the projects contained in the book, Exploring Creation with Astronomy: Rather than purchasing peat moss, we suggest that you purchase a large bag of premium potting soil, like Miracle Grow. It will serve to both sprout your plants and feed them as well. Use the included containers to start your seeds. Transplant to larger pots or plant in the ground if weather permits. You will plant the herb, Lemon Mint, to grow for making soap. You will also plant squash for use in Lesson 4 and 5. Field guides are suggested for use in Lesson 6 and 8. An assortment of field guides are available on the Creation Sensation website. If fern fronds are not available in the wild (used in Lesson 11), consult with a local florist.
