effects on.
Stackable MLS Head Gasket #6625 Honda 1.6L D16Z6 VTEC 1992-1995 Installation Instructions Step 1. Refer to "Guide to Gasket Thickness and its effects on Compression Ratio." Select the overall thickness that you desire and locate the spacer or spacers (two max.) that will give you your desired thickness. Set them aside for assembly. AT LEAST ONE SPACER WILL NOT BE USED. Step 2. Refer to "Kit Contents" and familiarize yourself with the three layer types included. Spacers are marked "C" and with a numeric thickness. The two outer layers are marked "A". The inner layer is marked "B" and has a very visible "blue" elastomeric bead. Step 3. Refer to "Methods of using the Spacers" and locate the one that corresponds to your thickness choice. I.E., you will install either 1 spacer, 2 spacers or no spacers. There is a method of "stacking" shown for each combination. FAILURE TO STACK THE LAYERS PROPERLY WILL RESULT IN COOLANT OR COMBUSTION LEAKAGE RESULT IN COOLANT OR COMBUSTION LEAKAGE AND ENGINE FAILURE. Step 4. Once you have determined the parts to be used, simply stack them as shown and secure with 4 (four) retainer Pins and Push Nuts (see "Retainer Pin Location"). Align the assembly with its mating coolant and bolt holes and install gasket. DO NOT USE ANY SEALANTS. Follow manufacturers recommendations for torque specs and sequencing.

Method Of Using 3 Layers - No Spacers
Method Of Using 2 Layers - No Spacers
Method of using 1 (one) Spacer Layer (Note: Spacer Layer can be installed above or below the Inner Layer)
Use only the Outer Layers. No Inner Layers of Spacers are required for maximum compression ratio.
