TURKEY TROT 5K FUN RUN/WALK

November 24th | 10:00 am Work off that Thanksgiving feast at our annual 5K Turkey Trot Fun Run/Walk supporting the Neighborhood Impact program. We will be hosting a Thanksgiving-themed costume contest this year with prizes for the most decked-out individuals. Pre-registration is required. Register before Wednesday, November 1st, to receive a Turkey Trot shirt. Registrations received after November 1st will not receive a shirt, but one can be purchased, while supplies last, the morning of the race. Register online at sunriver-resort.com/traditions. Join us behind the Lodge for holiday fun for the entire family at our Grand Illumination tree lighting ceremony! This year's event will include a visit from Santa, live music, children's craft projects, train rides, Oregon Observatory telescope viewing, face painting, sleigh rides, works from select local artisan, huggable characters, fireworks and more. Grab a bite from local vendors or at one of our Resort restaurants. Live entertainment will take place outdoors on the main stage from 4:30-7:30 pm. The lighting ceremony starts at 5:30 pm, with pictures with Santa from 6:00-7:30 pm. Enjoy pony rides and a petting zoo from DD Ranch from 4:00-7:30 pm and sleigh rides from 4:00-6:00 pm (weather permitting).

Sunriver Resort presents the 21st Annual Gingerbread Junction! Build fond memories and a spectacular gingerbread house, while helping your community! Proceeds from “lot” sales for Gingerbread Junction will be donated to the Habitat for Humanity of LaPine Sunriver. Sunriver Resort will match donations dollar for dollar up to $2,500. After that, we’ll take a field trip to Gingerbread Junction for inspiration and then head back to the Fort to start our Sunriver Tradition of creating mini gingerbread houses! Each child will be equipped with all the sugary supplies needed to create a tasty Christmas creation.

Whether it’s a day of arts and crafts, outdoor adventures or “monkeying around” on the indoor bouldering wall, Sunriver Resort has created the perfect environment for children ages 3-10. At Fort Funnigan, kids have the run of the Fort and the Resort! Of course, serious fun means a serious commitment to safety. We’ve staffed our facility with caring people who hold first-aid and CPR certifications and food-handlers’ licenses and who have had criminal background checks. We boast a low childto-adult ratio to ensure that your child gets the attention he or she deserves, and of course to maximize fun! Please ensure that children are dressed appropriately, as some of our activities take place outdoors.

REGISTRATION POLICY:

All children must be fully potty-trained and training pants–free (sorry, no exceptions). Pre-registration is required by 5:00 pm the evening prior to the desired program or availability cannot be guaranteed. We will have snacks, but please make sure your child eats dinner prior to our night program.
