GET READY FOR SUMMERTIME FUN This summer, Fishers Parks & Recreation offers opportunities for children to explore and learn about fun topics while making new friends. Kids ages 4 to 12 can choose from three types of week-long camps, including nature day camps, recreation summer camps, and specialty full-day camps. There’s no limit to the number of camps that your child(ren) can participate in, and each one is complete with age-appropriate activities, along with active and passive outdoor recreation. Crafts and activities keep camps engaging to ensure your child has memorable experiences. In addition to our amazing programs, camp counselors are the best and brightest young adults in the community. All counselors have experience working with children, have completed CPR training and First Aid certification, and have passed a criminal background check.
NEW THIS YEAR Fishers Parks & Recreation has added new, full-day options for select programs. Campers may participate in the morning or afternoon session, or participate all day. Full-day camp options are marked in orange.
REGISTRATION BEGINS MARCH 1 Registration for Fishers residents begins March 1 at 8:30 a.m. and April 2 at 8:30 a.m. for non-residents. Registration is available: ONLINE at fishers.in.us/SummerCamp. Registering for a Fishers Parks & Recreation account may take up to two days, so we recommend registering your account in advance. IN PERSON by stopping by the Fishers Parks & Registration office, located at 11565 Brooks School Road, during office hours on Monday, Wednesday and Friday from 8:30 a.m. - 7 p.m., and on Tuesday and Thursday from 8:30 a.m. to 4:30 p.m. (excluding holidays).
DID YOU KNOW? Fishers Parks & Recreation offers free or reduced summer camp rates for HSE Schools students who are enrolled in the free or reduced lunch program. To be eligible for these rates, parents must register their child for summer camp in person at the Fishers Parks & Recreation office and bring documentation from HSE Food Services. To acquire documentation, please call HSE Schools at (317) 594.4381. Free or reduced summer camp rates are limited to one camp per student each summer.
NATURE CAMPS Your child has an opportunity to explore Ritchey Woods Nature Preserve while learning about the natural environment! All campers are required to wear their camp t-shirt every day during camp, and bring a sack lunch to enjoy Monday through Thursday. All camps feature a special cookout on Friday to celebrate the week. Counselor to camper ratio is 1:6.
AGES 4 - 5 SENSE-SATIONAL SUMMER June 4 - 8 | Ritchey Woods | 8:45 AM - 1:15 PM | $75 From feeling moss and listening to birds to smelling spicebush and searching the forest finding the colors of the rainbow, campers will use all five senses to explore nature! AGES 8 - 9 LEAPZONE MANIA July 30 - August 3 | Ritchey Woods | 8:45 AM - 1:15 PM | $75 This summer, we’re showcasing the popular LEAPZone area for a whole week of camp! Campers will Learn, Explore, And Play in nature’s playground as they enjoy unstructured play while building forts, getting muddy, and more. Register by July 20.
AGES 8 - 9 GOING GREEN June 25 - 29 | Ritchey Woods | 8:45 AM - 1:15 PM | $75 Let’s make an impact! We’ll explore how we can help the environment while learning about environmental threats like invasive plants, competing in a recycled art contest, tie-dying with natural dyes, and much more. AGES 10 - 12 SURVIVING IN NATURE July 9 - 13 | Ritchey Woods | 8:45 AM - 1:15 PM | $75 Explore Ritchey Woods and learn basic survival skills, from knot tying and fire building to edible plants and nature’s remedies. Campers will discover all that nature can provide during this exciting week of camp! Register by June 29.
AGES 6 - 12 S.T.E.M. & ART ENVIRONMENTAL EXPLORERS CAMP July 16 - 20 | Ritchey Woods | 8:45 AM - 1:15 PM | $160 Discover what we can create in this S.T.E.M. (Science, Technology, Engineering, and Mathematics) focused camp presented by Ripple Mobile Arts. Children will learn about wind power, geology, circuits, and architecture design while creating kites, catapults, and robots from clay, glass, and other materials. Some creations will be ready to take home right away, while others will be fired and delivered to the Fishers Parks & Recreation office four weeks after camp. Register by July 6.

Campers will use their imagination and creativity to get messy while making sticky spaghetti designs, paint that fizzes and pops, messy portraits, mud painting, and more! Register by July 20.

AGES 6 - 12 CLAY TO PLAY CAMP June 18 - 22 | 8 AM - 5 PM | Hoosier Road Elementary | $230 Campers can show their creative side as they learn to use a pottery wheel, explore how glass and clay are made, and create beautiful art pieces in this full-day camp presented by Ripple Mobile Arts. Each morning, campers will make two creations, including chip and dip bowls, bird feeders, glass fusion designs, mini vases, and more. During the afternoon, campers will enjoy exploring, playing, and having great outdoor adventures. Campers can pick up their clay and glass designs at the Fishers Parks & Recreation office four weeks after camp. Campers must bring a sack lunch and are encouraged to bring an afternoon snack. AGES 8 - 12 REC TO TECH June 25 - 29 | 8 AM - 5 PM | Holland Park | $230 | Ages 8 - 9 | Ages 10 - 12 Campers will spend half the day in the MOVIE MAKERS course presented by Youth Tech. The hands-on interactive course led by Youth Tech teaches campers the world of digital video design and production. Campers will film, direct, and edit their own digital video creations while experimenting with green screens, special effects, and more. Campers will spend the other half of the day enjoying friendly competition with sports, oversized board games, relay races, and more. Counselor to camper ratio is 1:8 for ages 8 – 9 and 1:9 for ages 10 – 12. Register by June 15.
AGES 12 - 17 THE GAMING ACADEMY July 2 - 6 | 9 AM - 4 PM | Holland Park | $285 Campers will immerse themselves into the world of 2D and 3D video game design in this all-day camp hosted by Youth Tech that combines the popular Video Game Design and 3D Game Design Camps. Campers must bring a sack lunch and are encouraged to bring an afternoon snack. Counselor to camper ratio is 1:12. Register by June 22. VIDEO GAME DESIGN This course provides students with a fun interactive look at the world of video game design and development. Students enrolled in this camp will learn the basics of video game design and produce several different interactive video games to share with their friends and family. 3D GAME DESIGN This class offers and interactive look at the world of 3D Game Design. This awesome 3D video game design course offers the chance for students to create and immerse themselves in a 3D world. If you are looking to design professional 3D games that both look and feel just like the ones you play at home, then you don’t want to miss this course.
