Why: Following the presentation on this topic at the ECW Fall Ingathering last September, many requests were made for more information and the sharing of the stories for the women who were leaders in this effort. In response to these requests, we have scheduled a panel discussion with the Rev. Dr. Carter Heyward, the Rev. Alison Cheek (two of the original Philadelphia Eleven), Dr. Darlene O’Dell, author of “The Story of the Philadelphia Eleven,” and the Rev. Anne Bonnyman (one of the first woman ordained in East Tennessee). The Rev. Michelle Warriner Bolt, priest associate at St. John’s Cathedral, will serve as moderator.
