PRODUCT DATA -- ArmaFoam CX TUBES AND SHEETS Description ArmaFoam CX is a flexible, elastomeric thermal insulation manufactured at our Mebane, North Carolina Plant and Dallas, Georgia Plant. The closed cell structure of this product imparts exceptional thermal efficiency and resistance to air, water vapor, and intermittent exposure to liquid water. Its ease of application makes it a unique material for use on bent tubing shapes and contoured surfaces encountered in equipment applications. This elastomeric rubber-resin blend is made in pipe covering and flat sheet forms. FACTORY INSPECTION STANDARDS A.

Wall Eccentricity Wall eccentricity is the allowable amount by which the hole in the tubing can deviate from being a concentric circle with the outer surface of the tubing. Wall eccentricity tolerance for N 3/8" and N 1/2" is 0.063". For N 3/4" and N 1", size 7/8" ID and smaller are 0.063" and sizes greater than 7/8" ID are 0.094".

Production Limitations Pipe covering is available in a standard length of 6' in standard inside diameters from 1/4" to 6" IPS (depending on wall thickness) and in standard wall thickness of nom. 3/16", nom. 1/4", nom. 3/8", nom. 1/2", nom. 3/4" and nom.1".
Special length pipe covering: For information relative to non-standard lengths of ArmaFoam CX, contact Mebane. Powdered Lubricant Dusting -- The following tube sizes are dusted in 3/8", 1/2", 3/4" and 1" wall: 3/8", 5/8", 1/2", 3/4", 7/8", 1-1/8", 1-3/8", 1-5/8", 1-1/2 IPS and 2-1/8". Factory slitting is available at a small premium charge. Individual orders should clearly indicate "Factory Slit" if slitting is required. Contact Mebane for pricing before entering order. VI.
Allowable Short Lengths -- Nom. 3/8", Nom. 1/2", Nom. 3/4" and Nom. 1" Wall Thickness 6 Ft. Lengths Two 3' lengths may be packed in lieu of one 6' length. This will be limited to IDs of 2-1/8" or greater. 50 Ft. Lengths One piece only. Non-Standard Tolerances Occasionally, equipment manufacturers need ArmaFoam CX products with tolerances other than our published standards. Contact Mebane with sizes, tolerances required, and estimated volume. Date Code Information and Trademark ArmaFoam CX are available without any Trade markings except for dimensions.
