Ø The U.S. is the 4 study abroad destination for Austrian students, following Germany, the United Kingdom, and Switzerland. (Source: UNESCO 2013) Ø The number of Austrians studying in the U.S. increased by 4.9% between 2013/14 and 2014/15. Ø In the past 5 years, the number of Austrian degree-seeking students, both undergraduate and graduate, going to the United States has remained stable. There has been growing interest in non-degree program, with a 13.9% increase over 5 years. Ø The top host institutions are the University of Illinois - Urbana-Champaign, Columbia University, Harvard University, New York University, and the University of New Orleans.
