• Springs are either cold wound with chrome silicon 9254 or hot wound with 5160 to guarantee long life. • A polyester based powder coat is applied to ensure flexibility and durability • Each spring is preset with a hydraulic stress to reduce fatigue in the steel and prevent sagging. • Shot peening increases tensile strength and allows for maximum wheel travel without sacrificing the life of the spring. • BDS coil springs are designed to withstand full coil bind. In other words, you can smash our coils to totally flat and they will return to their original height.

The times mentioned above are estimates. Actual installation time will vary. Add extra time for wheel alignment, exhaust modification and driveshaft modification. These times are based on installation performed by an ASE certified mechanic who is familiar with the particular kit, has access to all necessary tools and equipment, and is safely installing a kit on a relatively clean and rust free vehicle. Note: Due to these factors BDS is not responsible for any estimates of time and/or dollars relative to this guide or any other reference to installation of any BDS Product.

1. Always follow the recommendations of the individual tire and wheel manufacturers. Tires are generally designated by series and actual physical dimensions may vary. 2. Most suspension systems will settle after installation and clearance will be reduced. When selecting a tire size, be sure to leave extra clearance for this to occur. 3. Installation of a larger diameter tire may reduce the life of original OE suspension, steering, or related components. These items are not the responsibility of BDS Co. 4. Larger tire diameters can cause premature wear of the clutch and/or transmission. 5. Larger diameter tires may require recalibration of the speedometer and/or the anti-lock braking system and will reduce engine RPM throughout the range of the engine. 6. Backspacing is defined as the measurement from the hub mounting surface to the extreme back edge (toward center of vehicle) of the wheel, not the bead seat. Some wheel manufacturers do not follow this definition, so always check clearances before operating the vehicle.

WHEEL OFFSET

Also called rear spacing. Distance from extreme back edge of rim, not bead seat, to the mounting pad. Lay a straight edge across back edge of rim and measure down to mounting pad.

The distance from the wheels centerline to the plane at which the wheel meets the hub. Positive offset is toward the outside of the rim, negative offset is toward the inside. Zero offset is the center of the rim.
