BEYOND CONFLICT TO CONSENSUS INSTITUTE THE BASIC PROCESS October 22-24, 2013 Sponsored by the Bozeman School District, Bozeman Deaconess Health Services and the City of Bozeman You are invited to participate in 3 days of intensive experiential training and development in Consensus beliefs, behaviors, skills and process. Participants will learn by doing and, at the conclusion of the session, will be capable of working within their own groups and communities to apply the lessons learned, building consensus in any conflict; whether personal, interpersonal, or intergroup. They will also learn about managing conflicts caused by our rapidly changing natural, political and social environments, using their own situations and experiences as learning pathways. Participants will learn how to convene groups of people around difficult situations and to instill a sense of "listening with respect," fostering consensus behaviors that are critical to resolving issues. Following the session, the local facilitators and the instructors will be available to assist participants as they design and conduct workshops or meetings in their own families, work places, organizations, churches and communities.
PURPOSE OF THE WORKSHOP: Experiencing and learning a process for confronting and resolving conflicts leading to consensus solutions. Develop specific strategies for application of the process to the participants’ home, work and community environments. Developing local facilitators who can apply this process and skills in their home, organization, school and community environments.

"This workshop provides a clear and concise model for bringing people together. These tools can be easily integrated into any community, organization or project and after they progress, understanding and trust are almost certain outcomes. In short, conflict becomes an opportunity to collaborate instead of a roadblock to success." Hezekia Allen ~ Mattole Restoration Council, Board of Directors
