ROLE AND PURPOSE: Adapt materials by transcribing print material to Braille/tactual graphics and perform clerical duties for the Visually Impaired Department's staff.
QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: • High school diploma or equivalent • Excellent computer/keyboarding skills • Ability to learn and produce braille in accordance with National Library Services standards Special Knowledge/Skills: • Braille reading and writing • Braille transcription using specialized braille translation software and equipment • Braille Transcriber certification preferred MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: A. Perform general clerical duties as assigned B. Braille curriculum assessments and diagnostic tests C.
