Product Update Notes Overhead Blacklines for Classroom Display Due to the widespread and increasing use of document cameras and electronic white-boards, MLC has replaced the overhead transparencies with overhead blackline masters. These blacklines are included in the Bridges and Number Corner packages in both printed form and electronic form on the Blackline Masters CD. They can be displayed with document cameras, projected to electronic whiteboards or presentation screens, or used to create traditional transparencies. All references to overhead transparencies in the Teacher Guides should be read as references to the overhead blacklines. Ready-made, traditional transparencies for overhead projectors are still available for purchase as an optional item. The overheads listed below are also available in color on the Blackline Masters CD included in your Bridges package. Color files are designated with the letter “C” at the end of the file name. Bridges Grade 2 Color Overheads: 1.8C, 2.2C, 2.3C, 3.4C, 3.5C, 3.6C, 3.10C, 4.16C, 5.1C, 5.4C, 5.5C, 5.11C, 5.25C, 7.14C, & 7.15C

Practice Books A blackline version of the new Bridges Practice Book is now included in the Bridges kit. Although this book is not integral to the original Bridges program, the pages may be assigned as seatwork or homework after Bridges sessions, or serve as a source for skill assessments or review. A bound version is available for optional purchase. Grade 2 Calendar Markers Grade 2 Calendar Markers are now 5˝ by 5˝ to match other Bridges grade levels’ markers. A larger Calendar Pocket Chart included in the kit accommodates these new markers. Grade 2 Unifix Software The Unifix computer software included with Bridges is manufactured by Didax, Inc. The software is compatible with Windows XP and Windows Vista. The Macintosh version is only compatible with Mac OS 9 or Mac OS Classic running under Mac OS 10. The software will not work on newer Macintoshes that use the Intel processor nor will it run natively under Mac OS 10. Please contact Didax concerning any technical questions. (www.didax.com)
