The Commission is developing Comprehensive Congested Corridor Plan Guidelines for use by Caltrans and regional transportation agencies intending to apply for the second round of funding for the Solutions for Congested Corridor Program (SCCP). The purpose of these guidelines is to establish basic expectations for Comprehensive Corridor Plans associated with projects that are seeking funding through the SCCP. The Commission’s guidelines are intended to address general requirements associated with the SCCP funding program and will be consistent with separate corridor planning guidance being developed by Caltrans. Caltrans is preparing statewide guidance for the development of long-range, multi-modal corridor plans associated with the state highway system. This guidance will provide direction to Caltrans districts developing corridor plans in collaboration with partners and will be relevant beyond the SCCP.
