ROLE AND PURPOSE: To support the staff of the CTE office and to facilitate the provision of excellent service to the public, the teachers, and all district personnel regarding functions of the CTE office by applying good public relations skills, good organizational skills, accurate data entry skills, and general office skills to all assignments. QUALIFICATIONS: Education/Certification: High school diploma or equivalent Special Knowledge/Skills: Strong communication and interpersonal skills Experience with TEAMS preferred Excellent telephone communication skills General clerical skills: correspondence, computer skills (Word, Excel, PowerPoint), filing Good organizational and work prioritization skills Positive interpersonal and communication skills MAJOR RESPONSIBILITIES AND DUTIES: I.
SCHOOL/ORGANIZATION CLIMATE A. Serve as primary receptionist for the Career and Technical Education department B. Help maintain files for the CTE office and prepare files for storage C. Open and distribute mail for CTE office D. Support CTE district staff development activities E. Enter or verify and process all travel forms for CTE student leadership organization conference and competition travel and CTE Staff: travel requests, check requests, budget codes, substitute codes, bus/suburban requests F. Maintain a file of teacher-submitted student participation forms for student leadership organization competitions G. Compose and type correspondences, memos, and letters, as necessary for the CTE department H. Enter print shop orders I. Make copies and collate handouts for staff development sessions and presentations by CTE office personnel J. Provide general support for campus and district CTE personnel K. Perform routine office duties and promote positive climate under the direction of the director L. Follow district policies and procedures

SCHOOL/COMMUNITY RELATIONS A. Greet community visitors to the CTE office B. Greet and assist teachers or other internal personnel who visit the CTE office C. Help establish positive public relations with department, district personnel, campuses, and community
III.
MISCELLANEOUS A. Attend professional development training to update knowledge and skills B. Performs other duties as may be assigned by the Director of Career and Technical Education
