Read the red heading The First President. In the space below create a chart showing the top posts in the executive branch and judiciary at this time. Define each position and name the first person to occupy each post. “One man cannot do it all.”

4) The nation’s first economic crisis was a large public debt. Why was this debt so large? -Art. of Confed. made the Nation broke because we had no tax revenue. -We had issued bonds we couldn’t repay.

5) Read Hamilton’s Financial Plan. This section describes Hamilton’s three step plan for ridding the country of its debts. After each step add notes on why Hamilton wanted to take these steps.
