Cisco Certified Design Expert (CCDE) CCDE certification is intended for professionals who have day-to-day responsibility for designing complex, converged IP networks. Candidates are strongly encouraged to have at least seven years of networking experience and a thorough understanding of network infrastructure principles and design topics. There is no formal Cisco offering that covers CCDE, and whilst CCDA and CCDP provides solid networking design skills they are not a mandatory prerequisite for CCDE. It is recommend that delegates review the latest information regarding the current written and practical exams available on Cisco’s website before deciding on their study plan. Although Global Knowledge does not currently have a CCDE offering we do have some very experienced design instructors who can help with tailoring design training around specific topics if required.

IPv6 – Are you ready for the transition? Experts have been predicting the exhaustion of IPv4 addressing since 2003. It will however become a reality for some organisations over the next 12 -18 months. Everyone will need to consider the implications of transitioning to IPv6, although the speed of adoption and transition will vary between companies and sectors.
